Marine Consulting

Delivering marine science and applied solutions that strengthen policy and drive real progress in Mediterranean conservation. Providing clarity beneath the surface. Action above it.

Framework

Research Pillars

Targeted scientific disciplines structurally aligned to document and reverse critical marine ecosystem vulnerability.

01

Biological Invasions

Mapping the spread of invasive marine species across the Mediterranean, with a focus on species traits and expansion dynamics. Integrating underwater assessments, fisheries research, and applied innovations to support population control strategies that evolve into commercialization- enabling long-term, sustained impact.

02

Elasmobranch Conservation

Advancing the conservation of sharks and rays through improved understanding of regional distribution, habitat use, and critical knowledge gaps. Integrating citizen science, fisher surveys, onboard observation, and targeted research, this work operates at the fisher–science interface—combining outreach, safe-handling practices, and local ecological knowledge to strengthen protection efforts.

03

Fisheries Science

Advancing the science needed to strengthen fisheries policy, including stock assessments, fisheries trends, minimum landing sizes, and fishery sector knowledge. Built through direct collaboration with fishers, this work connects past and present realities to help shape more sustainable futures. Collaborator of FishBase.

04

Marine Policy

Advancing the translation of scientific data into practical policy recommendations, enabling stronger, evidence-based fisheries management and more resilient marine ecosystems. This work also supports new advancements in marine science by establishing baselines, understanding trends, and identifying pathways to reverse ecological decline.
